7/8: The Lebron Chronicles

Short and sweet again today (sorry)...
  • Lebron will announce tonight at 9:00... All signs have him pointing to Miami today... I don't believe any of it... I'm going on record and still saying he goes back to Cleveland... he's really going to have an hour-long special to kill his hometown? Meh...Cleveland it is
  • Carlos Boozer reportedly going to Chicago... can't hurt their Lebron chances... but even if Lebron walks... Noah/Boozer/Rose/Deng and free-agent 2-guard X is a pretty nice squad... there is some durability risk with Boozer, but he was the best available and I like the fit next to Noah
  • Ray Allen going back to Boston... yawn... expected from him IMO... but that's still an impact player in the East, and everyone is going to sleep on Boston now... you shouldn't
  • Big time Braves win last night... a 6-run inning thanks to Prado/Diaz/McCann... and the momentum is surging... up 6 games on Philly wasn't exactly what anyone expected in early July...
What to watch for...
  • The Lebron announcement - ESPN 9:00 - There's a 3-hour SportsCenter before this... you can't make this stuff up...
  • Cubs/Dodgers - WGN 10:10 - Wells/Kershaw - 2 nice young arms on a pretty empty day for non-Lebron sports
