2010 College Football Preview Part 2: Big 12

Straight to it with the Big 12...

North
  1. Nebraska (10-2) - Love this team... the blackshirts Defense is alive and well and they have the 2 best defensive players in the conference IMO in Crick and Prince Anukamara at CB..
  2. Missouri (8-4) - Alot of Blaine Gabbert slinging the rock... not necessarily a bad thing... but there's a ceiling there
  3. Colorado (6-6) - RB Rodney Stewart can tote it... and they'll have an opportunity to step up out-of-conference at home against Georgia...
  4. Kansas State (5-7) - Bill Snyder's still cheating... lol... I kid... but there's a solid talent base, however it's been attained... just not enough at QB right now
  5. Kansas (5-7) - Say goodbye to Todd Reesing and Kerry Meier... and to winning seasons at Kansas...
  6. Iowa State (2-10) - Not even worth discussing...
South
  1. Oklahoma (11-1) - Tough call, but I give the nod to the Sooners... Landry Jones has the pedigree... and skill guys like Demarco Murray and Ryan Broyles... and the defense is stacked, again
  2. Texas (10-2) - BCS title game not withstanding... Garrett Gilbert is talented, and the defense is deep... but losing McCoy/Shipley leaves a mark regardless...
  3. Texas A&M (9-3) - Put up or shut up for Mike Sherman... working in his favor is stud QB Jerrod Johnson... and I'm sure I'll regret giving a team coached by Mike Sherman 9 wins... but alas
  4. Texas Tech (7-5) - Not sure what to expect from Tommy Tuberville... but he has Potts at QB coming back and Baron Batch is explosive in the backfield... always was a Tuberville fan... he'll right the ship
  5. Oklahoma State (7-5) - Only one "triplet" remains... and thats RB Kendall Hunter... a beast to be sure.. but Mike Gundy is still walking through that door, and without Zac Robinson and Dez Bryant... yikes
  6. Baylor (6-6) - I love Robert Griffin... that is all I love...
Game of the Year - Texas @ Nebraska October 16th OR the Red River Shootout (Texas/Oklahoma) - October 2nd
Offensive Player of the Year - Jerrod Johnson, QB Texas A&M
Defensive Player of the Year - Jared Crick, DT Nebraska
