Typical Braves night recently with the defensive implosion late, and the improbable heroics in the 9th with the beating-up of Kuo, and some randomly clutch hitting from Melky Cabrera... I said aloud early in the 9th that if Octavio Dotel made an appearance, I was exceedingly confident... I heart Octavio Dotel...
- K-Rod is out for the year... to add insult to hilarious injury... the Mets closer will now miss the rest of the year.. been a bad week... on the bright side, the Mets are already out of the race...
- Bryce Harper signs with the Nats at the 11th hour... $9.9 million seems like a lot of money... but it's less than Strasburg, and he's considered an (almost) comparable talent... pretty impressive future battery combo, in theory at least...
- The 49ers sign Brian Westbrook... Frank Gore fantasy owners? A touch worried... but I wouldn't be... he's simply a replacement for the recently retired Glen Coffee with a little more explosion..
- Corey Pavin says Tiger is "high" on the Ryder Cup list... stop it Corey... he's on the team...
