3/17: Quick Hits...

Greetings all... I'll be putting my bracket up in a couple hours (before the noon tips) so this will be brief...
  • NBA Check - Denver runs away and hides from the Hawks late... JR Smith (Smiff) had all 15 of his points in the 4th, and Denver won by that same margin... It's probably not a good sign when Zaza Pachulia leads you in scoring (even if he played well with 19 and 10)... Boston reclaims a share of 1st in the East with a 12 point win over Indy... Rajon Rondo went scoreless though, and he seems to be out-of-sorts a bit... Chris Paul led NO to a home win over PHX with 26 and 9... OKC knocks off Miami on the road led by Durant's 29, and holding Miami to 85 points... encouraging stuff from OKC defensively... Dwight Howard had 31 and 22 in their OT win over Milwaukee... beast mode... and Dirk dropped a 34/13 on GSW on the road in Dallas's 112-106 win...
  • The "First Four" concluded with a bang... laughter... UT-San Antonio and VCU advance... VCU actually was a mild surprise to most as they kind of dominated USC holding them to 46 points... they draw Georgetown now... yeah...
  • Bruce Pearl is in trouble at Tennessee... he couldn't get even get the dreaded "Vote of confidence" from AD Mike Hamilton yesterday...
  • Why is it a story that Tiger Woods believes he's the best player in the world?... Isn't that what he should be thinking? Why wouldn't he think that?... That's "top news"!

What to watch for on Thursday...

  • The Madness... For the first time ever, you can see every game without ordering the mega-package... if you don't watch the tourney, I'd call you un-American... and I'm only sort of kidding... There's an NBA game on late (Blazers/Cavs on NBA-TV) and that's the only live event I'm aware of elsewhere...

Enjoy it, and stay tuned...
