9/21: Holding Serve...

Greetings...
  • The Braves won 4-0 last night behind a scoreless outing from young Randall Delgado and bombs from Alex Gonzalez and Freddie Freeman.... BUT... the Cards also won... now, of course, we'll take this as Braves fans because we currently have the lead, and the magic number lowers... but here we are...
  • The Red Sox and Rays also "hold serve" but in losing fashion thanks a blown save from Papelbon and a 5-0 shutout loss to the Yankees by the Rays... I still think the Sox and Braves are going, but who knows...
  • The Ravens lock up DT Haloti Ngata to a 5-year extension... he's the best DT alive in my opinion, and you can see his impact on a play-by-play basis, which is definitely not always the case from an interior guy...
  • The Pac-12 is saying they have "no further expansion" in the works... I'll believe that when I see it...
  • Blaine Gabbert, starting NFL quarterback... at least in Week 3 for the Jags... he can't possibly be worse than Luke McCown was, and no one has them slated for the playoffs...
Nice slate of football on the way for the weekend, we'll get to that shortly...
