9/8: NFL Kickoff, Braves, etc.

Greetings all... not covering a whole lot today, but wanted to get something up on the NFL Opener... at any rate, scroll down for the full NFL Preview!

• Saints @ Packers - 8:00 PM on NBC tonight kicking off the NFL season... I can't think of many better matchups from an entertainment standpoint, and these teams will put up some points.. I'm going to pick the Pack because they are at home, and I frankly trust their defense more than the Saints, but I expect a game in the low-to-mid 30's for each team... Really intrigued to see how Ryan Grant looks, and whether Jermichael Finley will be integrated easily back into the GB offense, while I'm interested in Mark Ingram's use as well... Def. a mark your calendar game...
• Braves playing the double-header in New York today... thanks Hurricane Irene!... Anyway, the lead is now 6.5 games, and some fear is creeping in, but with a sweep today? little breathing room... Minor and Teheran on the mound...
