11/26: Wrapping up Thanksgiving...

Greetings all... short and sweet today...
  • Pats 45, Lions 24 - Tom Brady is better than everyone... 341 yards, 4 TDs and general precision (i.e. Brandon Tate dropped another TD in his hands)... The Lions showed up for 3 quarters, and they were in this game, but that pass D still isn't in a place where they can slow Brady... pretty ho-hum...
  • Saints 30, Cowboys 27 - Oh, Roy Williams... hold onto the ball and the Cowboys get that win... Drew Brees had a productive game, but Reggie Bush looked hideous and they really need a running game... Dallas is certainly showing up every week now under Garrett and Jerry Jones I'm sure is taking notice...
  • Jets 26, Bengals 10 - The Brad Smith show.... kickoff return and a 53 yard run... other than that? Such a brutal game to watch... Carson Palmer was abominable (2 INTs, more dropped, 41 QB rating), and threw one of the worst passes I've ever seen an "NFL" quarterback throw (the INT into triple coverage in the end zone)... both teams are who we thought they were....
  • Texas goes down... the Longhorns are not bowl eligible... What were the Vegas odds on that preseason? They were competitive at least here... but Garrett Gilbert has a long way to go, and they just couldn't make enough plays...
  • NBA Box Score Check - Josh Smith had 20 and 14 in a rout of Washington last night... the Hawks looked good, and Joe looked more comfortable (finishing with 21)... the perimeter (cough, point guard) defense isn't getting better though... The Clippers are looking better and better... Blake Griffin went off for 25 and 15 and Eric Gordon had an assassin-like 28/6/4... one guy I'm encouraged about though? Al-Farouq Aminu... I thought he had bust written all over him, but another efficient 12 points last night, and he doesn't kill you anywhere....
What to watch for...
  • Huge College Football Games - Auburn/Alabama (2:30 CBS), Oregon/Arizona (7:00 ESPN), and Boise/Nevada (10:15 ESPN) all have national title implications... big enough? lol... even West Virginia/Pittsburgh (Noon ABC) has "BCS" implications in the pathetic Big East...
  • Rockets/Bobcats - 7:00 ESPN2- I have no idea why this game is on TV... but if you aren't into college football...
  • Warriors/Grizzlies - 9:30 ESPN2 - The dubs are always entertaining....
Enjoy...
