Greetings everyone... kind of an ugly weekend in college football, no top-20 matchups, and alot of looking ahead... but if history tells us anything, that doesn't rule out some foolishness....
- Oregon @ Cal - 7:30 Versus - This is a tough spot for Oregon... We all agree that Cal is extremely sporadic, but they are at home (where they excel) and Oregon has look-ahead potential.... This is a perfect time for a let-down, and Cal is very, very talented on the edges... That being said, I don't think Oregon has too difficult a time, and probably scores 40+ again here...
- Georgia @ Auburn - 3:30 CBS - Another look-ahead spot... Auburn has Alabama after this, and Georgia is laying in the weeds... however, the Bulldogs are playing better in recent weeks, have a capable QB, and a talented defense... Also, it can't be totally ignored that Cam Newton is embroiled in major (potential) scandal... I think they get by them at home, but it's another dangerous spot...
- Penn St. @ Ohio St. - 3:30 ABC/ESPN - Not a great Penn State team... but this is always a fun matchup, and there seems to be zero buzz around Ohio State, who I still think is the best team in the Big 10... I think the Buckeyes expose the young QB of Penn State and put everyone on notice...
- Oklahoma State @ Texas - 8:00 ABC - This is actually a big game... I'm not a believer in OK State... but if you are? This is huge... they have the best "show me" schedule of any 1-loss team remaining... road game here, followed by Oklahoma, and a Big 12 title game against Nebraska.. if they somehow run the table?... could be seeing an argument between them and Boise/TCU... Add in that Texas is somehow trainwreck bad this year? This is interesting...
- Utah @ Notre Dame - 2:30 NBC - I got nothing here really... but TCU reaaaalllyyyy needs Utah to beat Notre Dame...
- South Carolina @ Florida - 7:15 ESPN - I don't particularly care... but this is the battle for the SEC East title, so it has implications... both teams are 6-3... both are capable of playing better than that record, and it has the always-entertaining Spurrier vs. Florida element...
- Michigan @ Purdue - Noon Big Ten Network - Oh... I probably shouldn't preview this game in the interest of the fact that no one in the state of Georgia will watch it other than me... carry on...

- Northwestern +10 over Iowa - I'm fading Iowa every week I think...
- Cal +20 over Oregon - Hang around early... lose by 14-17....
- Alabama -13 over Miss. State - Angry, angry Alabama team responds big here...
