11/27: Bye Bye Boise...

Greetings all... had to get something up about the 3 CFB games yesterday... here we go...
  • Auburn 28, Alabama 27 - Great, great game here... Alabama flat-out gave this one away with 1) The Ingram fumble, 2) The Richardson dropped TD pass, and 3) The sack/fumble where the entire Bama team fell asleep to let Auburn crawl and pick it up... I've never seen domination like the 1st quarter of that game... but give some credit to Cam Newton and Auburn who scored at will in the 2nd half, and I'm not sure how anyone can NOT give their Heisman vote to Cam Newton.... It's kind of funny to see everyone anointing Auburn as a BCS Title game team... umm.. South Carolina is very, very capable of beating them... just an FYI...
  • Nevada 34, Boise 31 (OT) - First of all, I feel absolutely terrible for Boise kicker Kyle Brotzman... he missed 2 relative gimmes (one in regulation, one in OT) and it was a sickening feeling... now that that is over... what a game... Big-time out of the gate for Boise... huge comeback by Nevada including 2 huge touchdowns to tie the game twice late... The craziest play? Kellen Moore somehow getting SINGLE COVERAGE on that final bomb in regulation (no idea what Nevada was doing) and delivering a perfect strike to set up the field goal... Real, real tough for Boise... but that's a legit team, and anyone piling on today is off-base...
  • And finally... Oregon rolls on... 48-29 over Arizona and the Ducks scored at will yet again... Darren Thomas, Lamichael James, and Kenjon Barner are beasts... and they continue to do whatever they want offensively... I was alarmed pre-game at the dismissal of Arizona (a legit top 20 opponent), but Oregon made them look ordinary...
That's it for today... Go Blue... Beat the Buckeyes
