Depressed today...
- Tim Lincecum twirled a complete-game 2-hit gem last night in San Fran to single-handedly break the will of Braves fans coast-to-coast... I've heard alot about the blown call on the stolen base by Buster Posey... yes, he was out by a foot... I screamed it live, I screamed it on the replay, we all did... but if Omar Infante fields (or at least knocks down) a ground ball? Inning over... 2 hits in 9 innings and 2 (should've been 3) errors isn't exactly a recipe for road success in the playoffs... That's all I got for now...
- Yankees 2-0, Rangers 2-0.... It's getting ugly in the AL... I've pronounced the Twins done... the Yankees own them, and are going home for the next 2... I just don't see them coming back... Tampa? I've come close to burying them, but they have the talent edge in the series, and it's conceivable that they could win the series... but it's close to death...
- Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez is the Big 12 version of Denard Robinson... except with a much, much better defense on the opposite side... just an FYI...
- The NHL opened up play last night... 11 people watched from coast-to-coast... welcome back...
What to watch for tonight...
- Braves/Giants - Hanson/Cain - 9:37 TBS - Tommy Hanson had a ball hit his eye during BP yesterday... you can't make this stuff up.. but he's supposed to be ready to pitch, and the split hinges on his performance... Cain isn't Lincecum, but he's an elite-ish pitcher fully capable of shutting down an already battered offense... Start praying now...
- Reds/Phillies - Arroyo/Oswalt - 6:07 TBS - Good luck to Cincy... at least Arroyo has some playoff experience? i'm reaching here...
