NFL Preview Week 7

Aloha... Winners in bold!
  • Pittsburgh @ Miami - 1:00 - Interesting matchup here... I was high on Miami early in the year, but Henne hasn't impressed (not that shocking to this Michigan fan), and this is a brutal matchup... the Pittsburgh D is the best in the business, and with Ben back I can't pick against them...
  • Cincy @ Atlanta - 1:00 - We all know the Falcons are better at home... and this time they run into Carson Palmer... Cincy's offense is bad, mostly because they forgot what they were good at in 2009, but this is a test for Matt Ryan.. Cincy's corners are top-notch...
  • St. Louis @ Tampa Bay - 1:00 - St. Louis is better than anyone realizes... Sam Bradford can play, and Steven Jackson is still a beast... I'm still down on Tampa... Freeman is actually okay, but their skill positions are the worst in the entire league, and I don't see how they make enough plays...
  • San Fran @ Carolina - 1:00 - San Fran is off the mat... and Carolina is really, really, really bad... Matt Moore in for Clausen probably helps, but the Niners can play 8 in the box and slow down the RBs... good luck to the Panthers...
  • Washington @ Chicago - 1:00 - Toughest game on the board... I don't know what to make of Washington at all... Don't trust Torain, still no wideouts... but I like Donovan... If this was in Washington or Neutral, I'd be all over the Skins... but it isn't...
  • Cleveland @ New Orleans - 1:00 - It doesn't matter who Cleveland's QB is... anyway, big gain for NO in getting Sharper back this week... if he's 80% of the player he was in 2009, they need him... Brees and company get right here...
  • Buffalo @ Baltimore - 1:00 - Baltimore is good, Buffalo isn't... Ray Rice may go for 150 here... and Baltimore won't let Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller beat them... Go Ryan Fitzpatrick!
  • Arizona @ Seattle - 4:00 - Arizona is bad... I'm a Max Hall supporter from the BYU days, but i can't possibly take him on the road in a hostile atmosphere... Seattle is a team that is capable of 6-2/7-1 at home, and they'll get this one... still my pick for NFC West glory!
  • New England @ San Diego - 4:00 - This is about when the Chargers usually flip it around... McNeill is back for a full week... Rivers can wing it all over the place against that bad NE secondary... Tough one to pick, so I default to the home team in a big spot for them...
  • Minnesota @ Green Bay - 8:00 Sunday - Still don't believe in Minny... Favre looks like 2008 Favre, and Green Bay needs this one... badly... also, Brad Childress on the road gives me pause 100 times out of 100... X-factor could be if GB can get anything going on the ground.. if they can keep Minny honest, they'll have success...
  • NY Giants @ Dallas - 8:30 Monday - Is Dallas done? Nah... Should they be? Yes... the NFC East is mediocre folks... all that gauntlet talk got out of hand preseason... is there a single team you trust in that division? My answer is no... and the Giants are a typical hit-or-miss team... too many things leaning toward Dallas in this matchup for me to pick Eli on the road...
THE PICKS! 15-17 Pending CFB
  • Dallas -3 over NYG... NYG overvalued, Dallas at home with season/coach on the line...
  • St. Louis +2.5 over Tampa - I think STL is legit decent... and Tampa isn't...
  • Baltimore - 13 over Buffalo - Buffalo on the road is almost an instant bet-against...
Enjoy!
